Pay and hours, and how they reach your margins.
Add each person you pay, with their pay per month, hours employed per week and hours baking per week.
Why baking hours matter
BreadWorks separates the time someone spends making products from everything else, like serving customers or doing admin. Hours baking can’t be more than hours employed, and the remainder counts as other work.
- On a product’s page, labor comes only from the baking share of pay, using the minutes per unit you estimated.
- In the Overview, all pay counts as labor, and both parts are shared over the products you sold.
Changing pay or hours
Pay is dated. Press it and enter the new amount with a From date, and past periods keep the old pay. Like monthly costs, pay has a strict start and doesn’t count before its first date.
Hours aren’t dated. A change applies to all months, including past ones.
When someone leaves
Archive the person and choose the date. Their pay stops counting from then on and their history stays. You can restore them later.
